Uninstall "Internet Explorer ActiveX Update 912945"... Microsoft recently released a non-critical, optional update for Internet Explorer 6 for Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1. This update changes how Internet Explorer handles web pages that use ActiveX controls.

Uninstalling this update will not compromise the security of your computer.

To uninstall the update:
Click the Start button.
Click on Control Panel or on Settings > Control Panel, depending on your system.
Click on Add or Remove Programs.
Near the top of the Add or Remove Programs window, select Show Updates.
Under Window XP - Software Updates click Update for Windows XP (KB912945).
Click the Remove button and continue through the Software Update Removal Wizard by clicking Next.
Once the Removal Wizard completes, click Finish. Your computer will restart and the Update will have been removed.

This error may not be coming from IE itself - it could be coming from an IE add-in program or toolbar. Try disabling any 3rd party toolbars you have and
running a spy-ware detection program
