Every time I try to delete the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Driver I get message "Cannot delete IDriver.exe : Access denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that the file is not currently in use".

a) Can some one suggest a solution to this ?
b) How do I ascertain that the file is not currently in use ?

It means that, the file is being currently used by some program or by Windows itself (this error may also occur if u dont have enoughprevilages)...get this software called WhoLockMe to find out which program is using the specific file, and u can disable that program and the delete the file...

why do u want to delete InstallShield files, as it is located in Common Files folder, it will be shared by many programs, deleting this may hav adverse effect on some other programs....
