I remember there was a discount from dell on ebay in december and january in which they were offering 3k off on every laptop

^Depends man. You can obviously get any gadget at more or less price than online "regular" prices. But when deals like these come, local prices can't match them. I have seen this personally when I had to buy my laptop. Plus I buy at least 1 laptop in 2-3 months, so can say this by experience. It also depends on taxes in your state.

I have check the prices of dell laptops everywhere(even in Nehru Place,Delhi).
You can't even get the same price that you get on dell website and you are saying that you can get a better deal than this.
Generally what local dealers do is they give you some cheap accessories or may be a backpack or a free antivirus which don't even 500 bucks to then and they sell you at a higher price by just giving this crap, they are very good with dealing the customers,that is what they are doing from years.So please don't believe what they are saying and try to see the reality.
I also buy a laptop every month for some or the other person and this is what I have experienced in last 4-5yrs.
In case of computer system I have a experience of more than 10yrs.

you can get the same laptop cheap (there are many HP DV6s) locally but it won't have same specs. usually the GPU takes the hit and is replaced by something mediocre or if possible an extremely entrylevel one. next the ram is halved. well, lastly you'll get pirated OS loaded on the lappy (not that everyone cares about the same).

Have you guys noticed that the XPS laptops on Dell ebay store are old models having 1GB graphic card.And the one the on their website have better specs and better price but online there was also another scheme going on in which they were offering Bluetooth headset, bluetooth mouse and Mcafee 15months antivirus.
But I think the inspiron models are the same(I compared the specs last time when there was a similar offer in Dec/Jan, didn't got time to compare inspiron models this time)
