Earth for LCD projector

Is it essential to have an earth connection for LCD projectors? I mean, is it safe to use an LCD projector with a 2 Pin main supply?

if your supply has current leak it is harmful for ANY thing using electricity not just projectors.

better if earthed !!! (may reduce lamp hour ) (not sure)
