DVD-RW and motherboard

hi friends..
my motherboard is have SATA configuration, and DVD-RW is of IDE. so what i need to do to connect it.

You will need a converter cable like this:

IDE-SATA IDE Drive to SATA Cable Converter for IDE HDD/CD/DVD


or for vice versa :

SATA to IDE Converter from Addonics


I have never used this, so can't give you the reliability factor.

i tried with connector/convertor, but it doesn't works.
And the dealer told me that it will not work with DVD-RW, it will work with HDD or something else. And their is no other option for this.
What can I do now??
please help me...

It would help us understand if you can post some images for the connections you made with the converter.

^^ post your mobos manufacturer and model name.

Again I will suggest you to post some images of the motherboard and your setup. And the images for what exactly u are trying to do.

It will help us help you better.

Current mobos still come with atleast one IDE connector. do post your mobo model name.
