Duped By the vendor??

Hi guys,
i purchased a 512 MB DDR-2 Ram...
And the vendor told me that its 533 MHz.. for 1K... some company i think Dyanet...
Now when i ran a software it showed this..

check out the sticker that is on the ram stick .

full info is on that lable that is on ram stick .
which type of ram ( ddr1 , ddr2 )
how man mhz ( 533 ,667 )
how much ( 1 gb ,512 )

all of them


so check it out ?

Also check what your motherboard supports? Sometimes due to motherboard limitations also RAM behaves at lower frequencies.

The key difference between DDR and DDR2 is that in DDR2 the bus is clocked at twice the speed of the memory cells, so four words of data can be transferred per memory cell cycle.

so the speed of the memory cells is 266MHz but its clocked at 533, thats what makes it DDR2 ;)

Slower DDR1 RAM is much more costlier than DDR2 RAM. So this can't be true. This is best seen from BIOS.
