drivers of laptop

hi frnds,
my friend havinga a compaq laptop model no. c772tu. the problem is with sound drivers when i install sound drivers the sound comes properly but when i m going to attach headphone then both speakers and headphone play simultaneously.

plz tell me what type of problem it is????? N solution too.
