Download newly released Linux Mint 8 x64 bit edition

Just a month ago, we saw the latest flavor of Linux Mint i.e. 8 for 32 bit (or x86 bit) running computers. Today, Mint developers have released and made available to download this version for x64 (or 64 bit) computers. Codenamed Helena, Mint 8 edition is based on and compatible with Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala and its repositories. The latest Linux 2.6.31, GNOME 2.28 and Xorg 7.4 versions have been implemented into Mint 8.
