DOS CD/DVD writer

IS there no DOS cd DVD writer so that i can backup my files from my old corrupted compter?

i dont think there is any... Optical Device RW (CD/DVD) came into market later than that OS, therefor No driver support whats so ever...

if thats the main reason u want to know, then best option is using any good free Linux Live CD based OS, which supporst burning...

Can u tell me Why u need cd writer?
If u want to take backup then connect ur old HDD to another system then u will be able to take backup.
