Bond, Desi Bond!
The price looks reasonable. Did you check with local dealer for Lenovo?

I'm not in a hurry now. So I will check with the dealers later. Also the model hasn't been launched so I don't think that any dealer would be able to say anything.

But the config is based on Sandy Bridge & has 2GB of a very powerful GPU. I just can't believe that such config can cost such low price. If the price is true, this is going be an excellent VFM considering the Lenovo Y560 with core i3 (Nehalm) & 1GB GPU sells for about 46k.

The site lists the estimated Launch Date as May 20, 2011

Are you sure that the price looks reasonable ?

Believe Me or Not!!!
^^^ this month edition of chip magazine has a review of new ASUS laptop with core i7-2*** (i think it was 2730 but not sure) and some mid-high end nVidea graphics card and price stated was around 55k.
In past I never encountered any core i7 laptop under 60k (esp when its ASUS).
Now I think mentioned price can be correct (being optimistic :))

There are plenty of i7 laptops between 50k to 60k from Lenovo, Dell & even HP.

The weird thing about the above config is that it has Sandy bridge processor (which should be costlier than Nehlalm) alongwith 2GB of a powerful GPU. Even now no laptop in this price-range has config comparable to this. That makes me skeptical.

Anyways, if this laptop (or any comparable to this) gets a price tag out of my budget, I'll get the Lenovo Y560 which is selling at 46k (the price should come down after the launch of sandy bridge laptops). I heard that the "screen issues" have been sorted out.

The price is indeed good for an i5 + 640GB HDD.

Can you tell me which model of GPU they are giving with the Z570 ?
