In todays TOI there was a front page ad of dish+ - SD digital video recorder, something I was waiting for some time as I don't have an HD TV . Anyways what has got me excited is that its really affordable @ Rs. 1700 and there is an online offer of buying it @ Rs.1500 (all inclusive according to my calculations).
I have asked the dish people 1 question.
Your thoughts about this ? Is it worth a grab or is it better to wait for similar SD quality DVRs ?
PS: note that this DVR doesn't have a built HDD, it comes with a free 4gb pen drive, but the user will have to spend more to get a proper external storage device.

If it does support viewing videos downloaded from the internet , then I am getting this for sure. We'll know this when they answer it.
