Guys I want to know ---

(1) Why does the QX 9650 and QX9770 cost a bomb:D?

(2) I am building a new High End PC, and I can't decide which one to buy. Tell me your opinions.

(3) I want simply the best. But are these two extreme processors worth the hefty price tag?

(4) How well does the Q9450 overclock? Does it reach 4GHz:D? (In water cooling of course)

(5) Will overclocking decrease the life of the CPU?

(6) How much does Cooler Master Aquagate Max cost in India (Off Topic):D

Bond, Desi Bond!
There is absolutely no need to go for core2Extreme. Total waste of money. Q6600 must be enough. Anyways, what's your budget?

1.) QX9650 n 9775 (not 9770) cost 2 arms and 1 leg because they are intel extreme editions. all they have as an advantage over the rest of the cpu's is the unlocked multiplier. i have QX9775 and i feel like a complete dumbass.
dont go for it, you can build twenty pcs for that price.

2.) q6600 cpu 10000rs
asus striker 2 formula mobo 18000rs
4 gb ddr2-800mhz-sdram gskill/corsair/ocz rs.6500
500GB seagate barracuda 7200.11 32mb buffer rs. 4200
samsung sh-s203b dvd-burner rs.1200
sapphire/gecube radeon hd3870x2 rs 25000
LG L245WP-BN Black 24" ldc rs. 25000
altec lansing mx 5021 5.1ch speaker rs. 6500
logitech G11 keyboard rs. 3000
logitech g9 laser mouse rs. 2800
APC BR1000IN UPS 1000va rs. 6500
SMPS tagan bz1100 1100watts modular smps rs. 15000
cabinet cooler master cm 690 with transparent side panel rs 4500
thermalright ultra 120 extreme rs 2500 for cooling

and maybe a tv-tuner, aio card reader, floppy drive, heasdphone, printer mfd, webcam etc... with ur unlimited budget

3.) these cpus are excellent performers, but theyre not worth that price. q6600 is 2.4Ghz at stock but you can overclock it to 3.2Ghz with cooling.

4.)hmm.. i dont know about oc.ing capabilities of q9450 but maybe it's a good oc.er as its based on 45nm fabrication.

5.) ocing redices the life of your pc and voids warranty so i dont recommend it. moreover, the heat dissipation caused by ocing may be more than what the cooling system can handle. so if you dont want to overclock, go for some core 2 quad at 2.66Ghz stock speed.
p.s. theres no need to oc a cpu to 4ghz, and not even 3.2ghz which is the max stock speed. if you do oc, there might be side-effecs for that, if you know what i mean.

6.) beats me!

Hey thanks for the reply. But I really meant QX9770 not QX9775. I think the difference
between these two is the socket the QX9770 is LGA 775 and QX9775 is 771.The QX9775 can be used in motherboards such as the Intel's Skulltrail.;)
