Salaam-E-Ishq will be the first ever Hindi film to be screened digitally.

The Fame Malad theatre in suburban Mumbai will be the first theater experimenting with this technology, and will screen Salaam-E-Ishq's digital print on January 25, a day before the film is released.

Shringar Cinema plans to experiment first with the Fame Malad theatre, and then gradually expand to other parts of the country. "We will test this technology in Calcutta in April, and then enter other A-class multiplexes," added Shravan.

i m waiting for this technology when i heard 4-5 years ago.
... but now it will happen in india... excellent... it is through digital movie projectors only....
i think they may distribute through satellite gateway or high speed leased line..may be,,, but not possible due to poor infrastructure at the end Quality will be mind blowing...

hope it will come to my city soon...
but it will not stop piracy...but decease cost of making reel & its trasportation...
