Hello there,

I am planning to build a new PC for personal use. Below are my requirements based on the questionnaire.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run?
Ans: Mainly for Photography (advanced and professional photo editing), Softwares that will be used: Adobe Photoshop CS5 (may be CS6 in future), Adobe Lightroom 3, Adobe photoshop plugins as-n-when required. Apart from this general purpose use.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: Overall budget: INR 25K (+/- 2K), Basic RAM 2 GB (upgradable 4 GB)

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Nope

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 7 and Ubuntu Linux and Android (only for trial purpose)

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500 GB or 1TB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes, 19” Widescreen, Resolution: Min: 1920x1200

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Already have: DVD writer

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: within 2 weeks of time

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Yes, have built my own desktop, and helped my friends to build their own.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Mumbai, will buy locally, prefrrably from Lamington Road.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Do I need to buy add-on graphics card as far as photo editing is concerned or on-board graphics would be enough?

Overshoots your budget but will work good.

Do I need to buy add-on graphics card as far as photo editing is concerned or on-board graphics would be enough?

Photo editing will be done easily with the default graphics.

socket 1155 is future upgradeable while A series cpu socket FM1 will be replaced by socket FM2 later this year/early next year.
