iam interested in purchasing the dell inspirion 6400 laptop with core2 due 1.6ghz with 160 gb hard disk.

any feeback on the same. how abut after sales service of dell.

They have 1 year next business day replacement warranty which can be extended. I have a dell of the same configuration you have mentioned for last 3 months. Not needed any customer service till now for any hardware defects. What I have heard on the customer service is that it is pretty good.

Little off topic but i want to share my experience of one call i had made: I had called to ask whether Dell 6400 supports wave-mix which is required to record sound playing on computer speakers. the tech support girl did not addressed me as "Sir" - which generally call center people will do, but called by name.

By the way you can not record sounds off your system with software like MyMp3My or guitarsoft.co.uk Mp3 Recorder.
