Create Wi-Fi Zone

In our room one LAN port to access company internet. but we have three person . we can't connect internet at a time . that's why we want to create Wi-Fi zone so that we can connect at a time . how it possible ?? my friend has a BSNL teracom ADSL2+ CPE / Wireless Router (TDSL300WL) (TYPE W2) modem . is it possible to create Wi-Fi zone by using this modem or buy any other device . ??? and how to configure?? . need help ! thank you

I think you can use AP mode available in some routers like Asus RT N12 for this purpose.

Always post details if you want a solution.What exactly is this company internet?How do you normally connect?Do you use your usual windows login or some company provided windows login for this? etc.

Yes you can use this router as a access point(not as router) but the main thing you need to mention is your ip config that you currently use when plugging the cable directly. Is it a static ip address/gateway provided by company or you just have it set to get automatically i.e. Dhcp.

- If its dhcp and you don't put any ip in Windows then simply log into the bsnl router and under lan configuration just turn off the dhcp of this wifi router. Then simply hook the Internet cable to one of the 4 lan port and connect. It'll work.

- If you're provided some specific ip addresses then most they won't be in the ip series 192.168.1.x which is the series of your bsnl router login.
In this type of case also you once you have turned off dhcp you'll need to reconfigure with those ip address. Remember router interface won't be accessible when those ip settings are on. If you want change wifi settings you will manually need to configure Windows with 192.168.1.x series ip.

It may sound bit complicated but it's very easy, just have to read once or twice and play with ip configuration few times. Post your doubts if you are stuck at any point.

when connect lan port to any laptop it do automatically connect internet connect . we can browse all website like gmail , yahoo, etc .

not work after disable dhcp !!
