Create, store and share spreadsheets on the web.
Imagine a spreadsheet that's always current and that others can update from their own computers, even at the same time.

Would you want to do so ? Then simply hop over to the new Google Labs creation presently under the beta banner with 'Limited test' attached. The invitations are being distributed on a First-Come-First-Served basis.

What does Limited Test mean ?

Some Google Labs prototypes can handle only a limited number of users in their initial stages. When we know that's the case, we do our best to let you know too, by putting "limited test" next to its name, along with some screenshots and/or more information about the product for those of you who weren't able to get there in time to actually try it out.

I applied and got an invite in a couple of days time... Cool... Supports opening existing xls files, so no need to start from scratch...

good for those people who do not want 100+ features of Excel and those who do not want to pay for Excel.

It is not going to be the replacement for MS Excel but a good online alternative.

Nice step from google. in ms office , excel is most used application and very general so i think it will ake time for google for it . and is internet in google necessory for creating sheet???
