Right off the assembly line
This motherboard came with my HP Pavilion Desktop PC. It's CPU fan got spoiled, so I got a new Intel Original CPU Fan (Socket 478). But the motherboard is not detecting the CPU fan and getting shut-down so I tried 5-6 other brand CPU Fan on the motherboard. After much googling I found that it only supports a special Cooler Master CPU Fan, but this CPU Fan is neither available with the Authorised Service Center nor with the PC Component Dealers (I have tried 1st / 2nd Hand Dealers) and posted AD on OLX / Quickr.com, and posted question on Yahoo Answers but did not receive any response.
I have taken it to the repairing shop to get the BIOS updated with the files found on net. The motherboard BIOS is of 512 KB whereas the files available are around 300kb, so the files are working on to the motherboard.
The Simple solution will be to throw away the Motherboard and get a secondhand or a China-made 845 board but I don't want to be defeated by a motherboard.
Suggest me some solutions
