Cost of 2009 Dell 1440 Inspiron

Hello guys,

Planning to buy a second hand Laptop.
Its Dell 1440 Inspiron, purchased in 2009 october itseems.

It was bought for 36k...Selling price seems to be 24k...
Is it reasonable or should I bargain....Whats the decent price of that now?
One more thing, it seems the battery is bad and gives only an hr....can I rectify it by any means or ask the seller to repair it...
Whats the cost involved...pls let me know

I did not suggest you to buy that. Reason being no warranty and second hand devices always have problem in one way or another. Better not to buy it rest wait for others as well to give you their thought.

-ve on buying second hand laptops. 24K for a 3 1/2 yr old laptop is a total ripoff.. add money and buy a new laptop.

Specs:

Core 2 Duo T6500 2.1 Ghz, 3 GB DDR2, 320 GB drive
It comes with Dell 0k138p Mobo.

Laptop has been maintained in an excellent condition (No inner side covers removed yet). No repairs yet as it was also not used for more than an year in between.
Its currently idle, as per the seller.

The only thing is its battery. It doesn't give more than an hr.
So we have to keep it charged continuously to work more than 55 min.

Any way to fix this? Also what might be the best price to buy this

Can sme one please help me in this

Laptop has been maintained in an excellent condition (No inner side covers removed yet). No repairs yet as it was also not used for more than an year in between.

You can always buy a new battery (cheap compatible one).

Want to buy mine? T7300 2 Ghz, 4 GB DDR2, 160 GB, 256 mb 8600m GT graphics card, September 2008 bought Dell Vostro 1500. Original licensed Windows 8, MS Office 2013 along with.

Battery is newly bought compatible, gives about 2 hours, 10 months ebay sellers warranty left.

PS : Have been using it since 2008 without a break. Only problem I faced a month back was graphics card issue. I can myself replace it with a new one (or buy a new one and give it along with the laptop) if someone wants to buy tha laptop :)
No reason for selling. I just want to buy Y500 and this laptop in a perfectly working condition is not allowing me to.

Had bought it for 70k back then, with 2 GB RAM. Upgraded to 4GB.

For that battery problem you need to buy a new battery. this is a common issue, battery usually last only up to one to two years. I had changed atleast 3 times.

Bro, just save up and get a new laptop..
Laptops arent meant to be bought as second hand..
Overheating, BsOD and various unfixable problems persist in lappys..
Just get an A4 based Laptop for around ~23k
