hi guys,
recently I upraded my pc with SMPS, VGA and RAM module (giving me problem)
my PC specs-
CPU- Intel core2duo E7500 2.9GHz
MoBo- Gigabyte G41M-combo (rev 2.0)
current RAM- Kingston 2GB DDR2 800MHz
SMPS(upgraded)- Corsair CX430

the problem started when i tried to install Corsair value select 4GB DDR3 1333MHz in DDR3 slot after removing DDR2 ram from its slot
on turning on the PC keeps restarting and I have to install the old DDR2 ram back, how to solve this problem
I checked on CPU specification it said FSB speed is 1066Mhz and MoBo specification says FSB 800, 1066, 1333 MHz
do i have to downgrade RAM speed? how can I do that?

How are you able to use DDR2 and DDR3 RAM in the same motherboard ?
Its impossible due to pin restrictions..
EDIT-If ur mobo has both a DDR2 and DDR3 slot.. then use either one, not both together

the MoBo have DDR2 and DDR3 slots, it says I can use DDR3 1333(0.c)

MoBo:Memory Frequency=DDR2: 667 MHz, 800 MHz, 1066(O.C) MHz, DDR3: 800 MHz, 1066 MHz, 1333(O.C) MHz
CPU: FSB Speed=1066 MHz
I did used one module but since its restarting I am back to earlier 2GB RAM installed @ 800MHz

I cant use both DDR2 and DDR3 at same time coz it doesnt support.
I had removed DDR2 RAM and tried installing DDR3 RAM in its specific slot.
I have come to notice that my CPU FSB speed is 1066MHz and my MoBO supports DDR3= 1333(O.C.)/1066/800 MHz memory modules / DDR2=1066(O.C.)/800/667 MHz memory modules.
Have I made a mistake in buying DDR3 1333MHz? What should i do now?
