My First question is:

Suppose I have a Computer with normal monitor in one room, let's call it Room 'A'.

And then I have a LCD TV on the other room next to Room 'A' , let's call it Room 'B'

Now, the question is if I had to connect the TV in my Room 'B' which is about 12 foot away from the computer on the Room 'A', Can I successfully make a connection. I mean, to ask, Can I connect with a TV kept at such a far distance from my Computer ?

My Second question is :

I am planning to renovate my room A & B, the room A is my bed room and B my computer room.

Should I use a PLASMA DISPLAY in my Room 'A' instead of that LCD TV that I mentioned earlier and Can I connect a computer to a PLASMA DISPLAY ?

Please suggest the best solutions guys.

Note : I have not purchased any LCD TV or PLASMA DISPLAY as of now but is planning to, so please advice accordingly.

My primary use of this TV in Room 'A' will be for watching DVDs and play Computer GAMES.

so many questiosn and its a simple matter of research

u can connect ur tv even if its in the next buiilding provided u run the necessary cable for it

LCD tvs are better than plasma and ofcourse more expensive
plasma tv's will come with DVI option and u can use the DVI connector on ur GPU or a converter to attatch it
for an LCD tv u'll have to look for a vga/dvi input .. or use composite video like u would with a normal tv

@ theraven look at the bold letter from what you have posted.

What do u mean to say ? I can connect the TV which is kept in the next building with my Computer ? Man I want to use it as a secondary display, is this really possible, given the fact that loss in quality can occure and to enhance this quality can I use a Amplefier in between ?

Will this set up not harm my computer or the GPU ? Will the resolution be maintained ?

Please clarify my doubts.

And I could not find info on this on the NET so posted it here. IF you can give me any links for such setup tips it will help me.

dude that was just a metaphor
all u need to do is run an svideo or a composite cable from ur pc to ur tv and use the tv out option on ur graphic card
it wont harm anythign
and no resolution will not be maintained
tvs are capable usually of a max of 800*600 so ur desktop will be resized
