Moto G... Easy to use OS & dual sim. + 2000 rupees discount makes it perfect deal. Camera is not poor its "OKish". I got some superb clicks with moto g. Sometimes photos are bit blurred if phone is not stable else its great phone. Ahh...those pics taken with Lens Blur are freaking awesome.

These are more than good enough for a phone that costs 10K. If you want better camera performance, maybe you can check out the Lumia's..

For your dad you should GO for MOTO G

1.Perfect Size to hold,
2. Grip is awesome,
3. Very well optimised & Stable OS Operation,
5. Looks Like Premium phone
4. 16 GB will be OK for him.
5. Good Battery Life
Zenphone is also a good Choice, But do not go for Xperia M,

You'll be stuck with tiles and blocks for quite some time to come haha. However, I do feel Android is just as easy to use if ease of use is an issue. In my opinion you should go for Moto G.
Any specific reason why you aren't considering Xiaomi MI3?

I have used WP 7.5 for about an year after that I gave that to father , and he have used it too :) soo no issues with WP

I will have to see proper samples of motoG it seems

Xiaomi is out of question bro..its for father...He dont want any chineese crap ;) .....if It would be for me I would have scrapped all and had selected between Zenphone 5 and Xiomi MI3

sujoy, btw go to any SONY center and have a good look at Xperia ZR. It's an awesome phone and the camera is great. You'll fall in love with the phone until......
you see the front camera which is VGA and is beyond pathetic. But, that shouldn't be an issue right?
But the phone sells for around 18.5K which is quite reasonable. Also, if you purchase it on Flipkart, you've got some cash-back option too. You'll have to use a State Bank card though.

I did consider ZR when I bought my Xperia ZL in march , but right now for dad its beyond budget ...and he wants a dual sim specifically..as he travels to different places on job

Performance wise Moto G is better as it will always have stock android instead of the manufacturer's junk but camera is the only drawback. You want your phone to take quality pictures, sony's 13MP are providing that. If Dual Sim is of high priority then go for Moto G.

Best is xiaomi Mi3 as i just gifted ut to my dad 2 weeks ago and he loves it. Infact everyone in my family now wants Mi3. My dad also used dual sim phone but now he is ok. He uses another small nokia phone as secondary phone. Xiaomi mi3 battery is awesome. My dad gets lots of calls so i needed a phone with good battery backup. Mi3 lasts whole day and there is still 40-45% battery left. Thats after atleast one hour of voice calls. Amd 2g net always on. Sync always on. Brightness set on auto and half. Rotation always on. I am now a fan of xiaomi.
