Confused between Bulldozer and Llano

I am assembling a new comp soon and I was suggested Phenom II X4 960, however when I ordered from a local supplier he said phenoms are getting lesser in the market, hence I decided to do some homework. Bulldozer platform gives much better overclocking headroom and Llano is good at graphics with its inbuilt GFX. Needless to say, I dropped the idea of having a Phenom.

Now I got two configs in mind

FX4100 running at 3.6GHz @ 7000( got lower bandwidth, found on Anandtech)
Asus M5a78L - M LX PLUS @ 3600( I need only 2 DIMM slots and a max of 8GB only)

A3850 running at 2.9GHz @ 7250
Asus F1A55-M LX PLUS @ 4000( like the UEFI bios)

Now why I chose to compare a lesser clock A3850? Because it can internally crossfire with an AMD card and give me better FPS than a phenom + 560Ti combi..

Now what do I get? remember the budget is about 11k only.. shall I get a FX and a 560Ti or Llano with a medium range GFC with a better cooler to overclock?

get phenom II 960T @ ~6.8k and ga-880gm-usb3 (rev3.1) @ 4.8k and get a gfx card later.

from the post it looks like you don't have a 560ti and a phenom II / bulldozer cpu+mobo combo along with 560 ti won't come under 11k.

you can cf Llano with cards around ~6k only but that won't give performance like 560 ti or hd6950.

so you better get the cpu+mobo combo I've suggested - if you can't find them locally order online and get a 560 ti or hd6950 later ;-)

Yes I don't have a 560Ti with me at this point of time BUT the 11k budget I quoted is for the CPU+mobo. What about the FX series then?

for now forget FX and buy phenom II as suggested by topgear.fx performance is lower than the phenom quad cores and even consumes more power.if you really want to buy FX then wait for its 2nd generation i.e., piledriver which is coming in end of Q2 2012.

If FX 4100 was priced less than Rs. 4000, I'd be recommending it and then overclocking it to 4.7 Ghz. Sadly, it isn't.

Phenom II it is.

+1 . Dont buy BD, it is epic fail by amd. Buy phenom or i3-2100+h61 chipset mobo.
