Configuring Usb modem in Fedora core 8

i have a reliance netconnect huwaei usb modem(works as CDMA phone too)...how do i configure it in fedora core 8 to connect to internet....

If you dont know the exact method of configuring it can you tell me the exact step by step procedure to install a generic usb modem in fedora 8.
