computer hangs

i use a data cable to connect mu pc to my cell.
i can dissconnect easily.(as in dial-up modem pop up box)
but sometime the connection is stopped. in that case i cant dissconnect and during shut down comp hangs(only during shut down).
suggest me any easy way out, otherwise RESET is only option

Try updating drivers, or maybe uninstall/install them.

well if u use nokia phone try reinstalling the pc suite and connectivity drivers for it.
also reinstall the data cable drivers.

i dont use pc suit. i just use dku 50 driver with cable modem driver.
