Compression Queries......

Hi everyone,

I have the a .mds and .mdf files whose size is about 4.5 GB.... can u tell me how can i compress it to about a maximum of 1.5 GB? And please tell me the name of the software to do it with. I have seen huge mds and mdf files compressed to a few KB's in WinRAR? how can i do it???? Pleae help!!!

i dunno about WinRAR, but you can give KGB Archiver a try.

if you have more than 512MB RAM & some time then only try it.

kgb takes a hell lot of a time while u r doing it for best compression settings... and the pressure and load it puts on the CPU, running it for 36 or 48 hours will gonna cause some harm for sure...

looks great on paper, but its useless without pro coooling system for with a high performance system...
