U may get error while copying due to some reason i.e(disc may be damaged or scrached )And u cannot play the ZIP file in VCD and DVD player. It is better to get 800 M.B cd and then burn it.

Actually the size of the DAT file is lesser than 700 MB, but you have to copy the original CD using Nero, and burn that using nero itself.
You can see the actual size in Nero Burning ROM (Not in Nero express)
If you haven't had the original CD, then just go to Nero Start smart and click on 'Make Video CD'
Now you will be in the Nero Vision Express. Just click on 'Add Video File' and add that file you have.
Now see the original size :!: Now you can burn it safely on a regular CD.

Uhmm.. first of all... it's not compressing....

Second, you can easily write it, supposing it is a 80min film... see the length, not size of the film.

If it's below 80 min, then you can write it into a cd using the "make video cd" option somewhere in the interface...

Koolbluez is absolutely rite.

U donn burn a VCD as the Data CD. VCD is measured in Mins rather than in MB.
Choose VCD Project and then choose the file(.dat) and it will burn with no issues.

From another thread -

Upto 800Mb is possible on a 700Mb CD using the VCD format. Why? Because error correction isn't used. Write the CD in MODE2 Form2 ............................................................................. Also have a read through this -
