Comodo firewall on 64-bit Windows7

A system running on 64-bit Win7, running Kaspersky AV. Downloaded Comodo firewall (64-bit). Disabled windows firewall. Installed Comodo firewall, installation successful. Windows goes for toss, Kaspersky became inaccessible, windows shortcuts non-functional, system restore not working, frequent black screen of death. Finally, had to safe-boot, did system restore. All is fine now.

Question: Did all this happen due to comodo firewall installation? Did anyone else face serious issues with comodo firewall on 64-bit win7?

May be Comodo caused it. Comodo and Kaspersky together are known to give problems.

Anyways, I don't feel like using a Firewall in Windows 7.

If i remember right Kaspersky also has its own firewall. It might have conflicted with your Commodo firewall installation.

yes, before installation of comodo, firewall built-in win7 and in Kaspersky were ON. I had turned both of them off before installing comodo in order to avoid any possible conflicts.

Only comodo gives full control over which application can access internet. With other firewalls, you never know which application is stealthily connecting to net.

comodo on Win 7 64 works fine.. Just dont use Kaspersky & Windows Firewall.

For Anitivirus. MSE works smooth with Comodo.

Kaspersky also gives this control. Kaspersky is heavy on computer resources, so I uninstalled it. Now I do not have any antivirus in my computer and it is virus free for more than one year now. Just the builtin Win7 security features.
