Hello fellow TDF members!
I'm new to the Destop world, till now I have been using my laptop to play games, but now it's time for me to Level up and step into amazing world of custom build PC's.
Me and my friend were discussing about the cheapest PC around 30-40K (cheaper the better
) which can run modern games and upcoming games like BF4 on Medium or Low settings. We could not decide as we lack nitty gritty knowledge of PC parts available, and that's where you guys can help!
Tell us your ideas!
1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Battlefield 3/4, Crysis 3, The Elder Scrolls Online, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Etc. You get the Idea!
2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: Cheaper the better, budget is not a constraint here if the 'cheapest' gaming PC is 40K then it's all good. It should be the bare minimum money you need to play games on Medium, low settings!
3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Yes.
4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Win 7.
5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500 GB 7200RPM.
6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: 1080P 18.5" Monitor.
7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Have to buy everything.
8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: By OCT.
9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: I'll learn and do it myself!
10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Flipkart/Online.
11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Well, I was on the edge of buying a PS3 but i thought, I'll (and so many others) can ditch consoles if we can build a decent pc in that price range!
