My brother wants it for just education purposes and little entertainment.

should able to run autocad, and all other basic apps

so I guess netbook is enough for this

Ya I also got it on second thought but still want for other purposes too ..

so now suggest 2 netbooks or notebook

so give 1 cheapest netbook for basic purposes

and other cheapest that can run autocad

Well if 2D is all you are going to do with AutoCAD then any cheap netbook can do it. If you want one with 3D try one with nVidia gfx 'cause Intel mobile gfx is very poor. Dunno of any netbook with ATI display.

one of Acer notebook comes with Turion II M200 + HD3200 (maybe as graphics) get it. should cost below 30k. & is good even for games.

what is it current prices? can it run autocad?

there were netbooks within 12k are they not pwerfull enough..

even the cheapest one I can get that can run basic apps if not autocad
