nothing. it is just a general query.

I am using it. It has fixed a lot bugs for Rage, Crysis 2 and BF3, especially for my Crossfire. Performance increase is marginal but HD 6800 series has some boost over HD 6900 series.

Boost or not, you should always use the latest catalyst driver unless you have a very old card which has compatibility issues with the new drivers. Apart from performance boost, it also fixes bugs and offers better stability with new games.

I am a habitual updater, never faced any problem even with beta drivers. As long your card is supported, it always better to update to the latest version.

well, not every time newer driver perform better than previous one. Amd has tendency to fix a problem and rise another problem( see release notes). And like cpu every gpu chip is diffrent. For ex: with some drivers someone may get BSOD but someone may not.
So the bottomline is use it and feel it how it perform for u.
Using readon pro, u may get some extra fps.
