cant make partion of unallocated space

Right off the assembly line
hello
i have 160 GB hardisk space
i have installed windows vista on my laptop.
i tried to use ubuntu on my laptop & installed it on a partition of 16 GB on my laptop
.,after some days i want to delete ubuntu so for that i use windows vista dvd & deleted the partition on which ubuntu was installed
then there is 16 GB unlocated space i hav,.
:xPROBLEM-:x
i can not make new partion of that space
when i try to do that i get an error,.,
plz help me,.,
i cant use that space,.,.

Sage of the Six Paths
Backup all your data to a different hard disk, use DBAN to overwrite the whole drive, format it with Windows Vista and then you should be able to partition.

dont make a new partition, extend the last partition by adding the 16 gb.
use easeus partition manager, as V_K said.

@ rajnusker : there are several methods not so extreme as yours, and which can be done without ever formatting a disk. what you are saying is the FINAL SOLUTION, its not so bad in op's case.

Can you please post a screenshot of your disk manager from Vista?
You can open disk manager by typing "diskmgmt.msc" in run.
