I have Asus P5B-MX/WiFi-AP, core2 duo and 2 DDR2 512 MB ram, with 160 GB Sata HDD.
Windows XP Sp2 was working fine till yesterday when the PC refuses to boot (Windows Failed to Load). I tried reinstalling winxp with a setup disc (which infact is not corrupted and is working fine for other systems). The setup fails while its copying files (some thing like shell32.dll is not for windows/corrupted etc... i forgot the exact messege). I changed My DVD Rom, HDD but its the same problem. Any one have faced the same problem? now im thinking of changing my Motherboard,.

Legen-wait for it-dary!
Have you tried a clean install? that is, format your windows partition after backing up the necessary files, and then install.

I did it all for d n00ki3
Its a pretty common error one faces if the CD hasn't been properly taken care of. Just get a new CD, since the problem is only with copying files, the data cannot be read of the CD.

I think it couldn't copy some files to continue installation because of some corrupt system files. In that case, try going to safe mode. If its possible, then restore system files by going to command prompt and typing
Code:
sfc /scannow
and then insert the CD if requested. If you are not able to boot to safe mode.. then I guess you will have to back up your data somehow and perform a clean install.
