can't access internet through ie6

i have a broadband connection which is 512 kpbs
my problem is i can't access internet through ie6
when i type a url it did not showing even the page
cannot be displayed message,the page is complete
blank with no signs of loading,but my other browsers
opera and mozilla working fine with any problems
i tried every thing i could not solve the problem
even un installed all toolbars fir ie6 and also conducted
a spyware scan nothing helped.

Have you installed any firewall and blocked ie unintentionally?

Try disabling your firewall.

Does it work thorough any other browser . If yes then that means you IE is corrupt. If not then do check the firewall settings as said as 2 other members

nothing worked

i tried disabling the firewall still i could not access net through ie6
and other browsers such as avant,slim which uses ie rendering engine
