Can Outlook Express be configured in s system using a shared connection ?

Hi friends,

I would like to ask,if anyone of you can tell me how to configure a Outlook Express in a system which is in LAN and has not been directly connected to the Internet .
Well,I have found out that the IP address of the system to be :35.144.10.53
Internet Explorer is working fine with this set up.

Please help someone if possible as I am not to aware of things as technicl as this..

You can configure OE even if you are using shared internet connection. What problem are you facing in setting up OE?

simply configure ur email account in outlook and enable the option to use current internet connection.

I guess you are using a proxy for connecting to the internet. Unless the proxy allows pop3 access to the internet, (which is hell to setup in the best of times) you won't be able to do that.

To see if you are using a proxy, open ie, tools>internet options> Connections (tabbed)> local settings and see if the proxy details are checked.
