Hey guys...

I am planning to buy a new laptop after my exams are over (by 25 Dec). I decided on the yet to be launched MSI Wind U120.

My basic needs are programming, reading ebooks, listening to music, web surfing, watching movies & some occasional counter strike. It should have a decent battery life and should be lightweight....

But now i wonder that since i am gonna watch movies, will Intel Atom processor be able to decode HD Video??

What do you say guys...

No. It can't if it uses the same processor (Atom N270)) as the U100 . Why would you want to watch 1920x1080 resolution videos on a screen that does 1024 x 600 anyway?

as cyberjunkie said you need screen of that resolution to watch, and a gfx card that can support that resolution. its more of gfx card thing than the processor itself.
