Cable internet acting strange.

Hi,
I recently took a 512 KbPS unlimited plan from my local cable operator.
Here is what I am getting

Normally, it gives me 50-60KBps while downloading. But when I download from some specific sites, it gives me around 400-500KBps download rates.

What can be the reason?? and can I always get this 400-500KBps speed doing some settings in my PC??

Please help

It's not possible. Check the speeds properly. When the speed is 50-60, the unit must be kBps and when it is 500-600 the unit must be kbps. They are almost the same speed.
1 kBps = 8 kbps

I am not kidding buddy. Its true and even I am shocked. I have downloaded 10 MB in 20 seconds. So there is no KB/Kb stuff.

Well, depends on your connection. But there might be other factors. Can you give a few examples of what exactly you were downloading & from which site and using what program when you got those speeds? You can PM me if you want
