1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Mainly for Video editing and heavy rendering at 1920x1080 and 2560x1600. Running softwares like adobe premiere elements, corel video studio, cyberlink power director, photoshop, illustrator, indesign, after effects and coral draw.
And for playing games like League of legends, diablo 3, Dota 2 and some fps games like Call of Duty modern warfare 3, battle field 3,

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 45K by that i mean strictly 45k not even 100 bucks more than that. maybe less than 45k but not more. On a tight budget atm.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Nope.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 7

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: Not much required atm 500gb will be enough as i have lots of externals lying around and will buy a 3tb or 2tb internal later on.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes, 24'' or 27'' full hd. 27" if it fits budget ( 27" wud be better for viewing as i've been working on a 27" monitor in my studio & i'm used to that )

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: GPU ( will buy later maybe a 760 or 280x ), dvd drive.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Next 2 - 3 weeks.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Have assembled few systems before.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:New Delhi, Will buy stuff from Nehru Place.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Give suggestions by keeping in mind that i'll buy a high end graphic card later on so maybe the PSU should be of enough power.

And i'll be buying a corsair 400r later so no money on cabinet shud be spent this time, local cheap one will work till then.

+1 for this. FX 8350 can be substituted for FX 8320 to bring the price in budget.
bavusani; FX 83xx will be much better than any i5 for the tasks OP has mentioned.

NoThe i7 will cost 20K alone and you have to get the rest of the components within 25K.

if you can increase your budget, then you can. but however, fx 8350 suits for your uses especially while rendering it is closer to i7 or even better on linux environments. those few seconds advantage you get from i7/ xeon is not really worth the money spend over fx 8350.i5 is not in the league. for monitor, you can consider Dell UltraSharp U2412M.

The only thing that's stopping me from 8350 is it's 125 W tdp, other than that it's an awesome processor. My system usually runs 24/7 and with that tdp running it all day long the price point of 8350 gonna come near to i7 or over it. I'm not saying i wud be overclocking the system bcuz i've done it and not in future wud like to to do it either. maybe a non k version wud work. Or a xeon.
No need for going a expensive motherboard either.

And i guess i have to up my budget a little so i'll ask my dad to lend 5k so that makes it 50k now.

I guess in 50k a i7 can fit where i'm not even buying a graphic card atm nor cabinet.
