At similar price point AMD is comparable to Intel, and at below 5k, they are better than Intel. Actually the IGP of the 880 chipset is powerful enough to play latest games at 720p res with medium to low settings. So you may now buy a system without the GFX card, save some more and add a better GFX card in future.

Another option is to change your monitor to a 20" one and use the amount to get a better GFX card like 6790. Game performance would increase by leaps and bounds but you have to let go Full HD monitor.

20" monitor should be around 6-6.5k. Look for Samsung B2030 or Dell IN2020M. Radeon HD6790 is around 8k.

If the Benq G2220HD is 6.2k, then its a no-brainer.

Won't HD6750 be enough for a 20" display? the saved 2k can be put used to get Phenom Ii X4 945 instead of an athlon II X4.

G.Skill Ripjaws F3-10666CL9S-4GBRL. this ram is around 2200
and
corsair 2x2Gb DDR3 1600MHz is around 2600

This one will be faster due to better frequency. But for mosts home tasks, gaming with no OC the G.Skill is enough.
But you can go for this too , but it will increase budget

Yeah, that's a better suggestion.

By just 400 bucks, no point going for slower specs for that.
