Buying 2.1 speakers system

Hi guyz,

I am buying 2.1 speaker systems:

Please suggest model and price.

I had those small speakers earlier which burnt out. So do I need to install any additional sound card or some other card?(Note: after the speakers burnt, I could still listen using earphones)

I live in Thane.

Although i own a creative sbs 370, i heard a frend's altec atp3 and found them much better than creative. If u hav 2.5k then go for atp3. It's worth those extra bucks Otherwise u can go for the creative inspire m2600 for 1.8k or sbs370 for 1.1k

@Moshel, I have not decided any particular budget but ya its not as high as 4-5 K....about 2.5K wouls suit me. But i am still looking for alternatives

in 1k range, Altec 121i is slightly better than 370.

There is another nice set of speaker which can compete ATP3 at same price. Logitech X230 and comes with nice looks too. But i prefer ATP3 more

If you system supports 5.1 speaker setup, why don't you buy Creative Inspire T6060 for 3.3k?

Else,

Go for X-230. That's the best 2.1 set (inside 3k)
