BSNL Broadband problem not configuring Red hat linux please help me??

Hello Friends

i am tring to configer BSNL broaddband on red hat 4.0 update 5.
I am following this tutorial Discovering Linux !: Configuring Bsnl Broadband in Redhat and Fedora Linux

but when i did as per tutorials and givr adsl-start command it shows
sbin/adsl-start: line 215 5840 Terminated $CONNECTION"$@">/dev/null 2> error
Please help me to configer my bsnl broadband on redhat 4.0 update 5

please tell me if you know even by graphical mode

does this come up when you type this : " adsl-status" in the terminal?

I using same method in my RHEL 6.1 . Works great . Try . ( Use Win XP or 7 to configure router ) .

When i put adsl-status in the terminal it shows the msg- /sbin/adsl1-status: Cannot read configuration file '/etc/ppp/pppoe.conf '
