Boot Screen(Disk Check) Problem!!!!

whenever i start my computer the disk checking operation starts even thought i shut down my com properly.
in the disk checking it says "Disk not windows xp disk".
However i havent face any problem relating imy computer functioning...
Please advise how to solve it!!!!

i too had this prob in win xp.. if u r usin xp do this..

start-run-command

there type

fsutil dirty query C: (do the same for all partions)

if it shows drive is dirty

type chckntfs\d and press enter.
then exit command and restart the computer.leave it to chck for errors and fix it.then after its done see if the drive is dirty again and restart the system to chck if it still chcks for errors.

Do this:-
Go to Start> Run> Command Prompt.
Type CHKNTFS /D and press ENTER. Note that there is a SPACE between the "chkntfs" and "/d".
Then restart. Windows checks all the drives, dont cancel it.

intel 2ghz 80 gb (4 partition c d e f)
256 mb ram
win xp pro sp1

jus do wat swat said.. sorry i said it chkntfs\d.. jus do wat he said.. and then restart the system.. and let the computer check the disk once.. then after loggin in.. restart again.. u will not get the chck dsk screen again
