Blue ray disc is similar to other discs. it has higher storage capabilities(50-110 GB) and uses a blue Laser instead of Red.

As per Sony India site, the MRP is Rs.1000/-. So the street price should be cheaper. And once the drive becomes common, the price will come down drastically as it happened in the case of CD and DVD.

If you have a BRay writer you can get it or order it at a Sony show room. Otherwise, for what?
