Hey I have been getting the blue screen of death. Before it used to happen when I'd just open 5ish applications. Replacing the hard drive and getting a new power supply fixed it... then...
Now I get them randomly when I do a bit more intense work on the computer. Some games.
My set up is:
Q6600.
PK5 Asus board.
4 gigs of 1066mhz ram. (Upgraded the ram thinking it was a packet jam issue, yes I know it only detects 3.25 gigs). But DDR2 is very cheap where I live.
EVGA 8800GT video card. (BSOD on CD drivers and newest drivers available online){plugged up to power supply as well}
1 Sata brand new HD that I replaced the other HD with.
1 IDE HD that I save music and such on.
I have a DVD player that is SATA but it's currently unplugged.
My power supply says it's 550Watts. Heres the specs: *www.coolermaster.com/products/product.php?act=detail&id=55
My OS is windows XP prof.
The blue screen flashes way too fast for me to read. It instantly reboots the computer after the blue screen flashes. I tried googling to figure out how to retrieve the dump save or something like that... Couldn't figure it out.
Hoping someone here can look at this and say "something or other doesn't go together" or "that power supply is still to weak"
