There are lots of software; commercial and free available today. It’s always confusing to choose right one. So I am listing here my favorites. I tested them all so I think you will like them too.
PDF Reader
Foxit PDF Reader
Size after install : 2.64 MBs.
It is a worthy candidate. If you are using Adobe Acrobate Reader just to view PDFs than look at the after install size of Acrobat Reader. It’s more than 64 MBs. So why waste this much Hdd Space. Just use Foxit PDF Reader. And one more thing Foxit use less resources and is faster than any PDF reader.
Disk Defragment Software
O&O Disk Defragmenter.
Size after install : 7.06 MBs.
Definitely a lot better than default defragmenter. One of the best defragment software but not freeware. Alternative of this is nothing in my opinion.
Computer Security Tool (Offline Use)
Quantum Digital Security Toolkit
After Install Size : 6.35 MBs.
This is a amazing tool from Quantum Digital Security. I use it to hide all my dirty and privet files. Password protection is reliable enough. File shredding is possible too.
Web Browser
I use 3 Browsers at the same time to browse with different usernames at the same time.
These are my favorites….
1.)Bon Echo :- Son of Firefox. This is the top browser in my opinion. More Customizeable than any.
2.)Opera : Ofcourse it’s the best. A all in one package. But one thing I miss in this browser which is that I cant save pages in “mht” format.
3.)Avant Browser : For those who think that only Internet Explorer can display pages as they are meant to view. This browser is based on internet explorer core. But is much more advance than internet explorer.
Multimedia Tool
Well there are lots of softwares which can be classified in this category but I am mentioning only two.
Xilisoft Video Converter.
It can convert about 20+ video formats into each other.

MPEG(mpg, mpeg, dat, vob); WMV; ASF; AVI; QuichTime(mov, qt); MPEG4(mp4); 3GP; DV(dv, dif); Real Video(rm); Animated GIF(gif - decoding only); Macromedia Flash(swf - decoding audio only);

MPEG Audio(mp2, mp3); WMA; WAV; AU; MPEG4 Audio(m4a); Real Audio(ra); OGG; AAC; Raw AC3(ac3); NUT Open Container Format(nut).
XnView : A superb image viewer and editor. It has all the features of ACD See.
and what?... its a freeware. So as they say most of the good things on the earth are either free or Xtremely Expensive.
Web-Site Editor : I used many web-site editor and I can say that Yahoo site builder is perfect. At least for me. And if you know html you can make a best looking site. And to complement this I also use selteco flash designer 5.And whats more I can upload my site with it in just 2 minutes.
Application Development : Microsoft Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition
I used this software and its amazingly good and cool. And a freeware too.
