best mouse for Gaming especially FPS

+1 for Omega - it's slightly smaller than a A4 page and better suited for most people but still it depends on the mouse size and how much one has to move the mouse to shoot accurately - I can even manage with mouse pads which are half the size of Omega Ed. ;-)

If you are a low sensitivity player you will find small size pad inadequate. I bought the small size goliathus first and then i had to buy another pad just coz of that.

As for mouse, both deathadder and g400(read mx518) are great but i find deathadder ergonomically a little better for right handed ppl. Had your budget been slightly on the upper side, lets say 3500, then i would have suggested steelseries kana or kinzu v2 pro. But i repeat both g400 and deathadder are great. Deathadder is ergonomically much more comfortable but on the other hand you have got logitech's after sale services with g400. So take your pick :).

Go for control edition, as the name suggests it gives you better control. Speed edition if for High sensitivity players coz it tends to resist when you try to move your mouse too quickly which suits high sensitivity players. on the other hand you can make big leaps with your mouse on control edition without any resistance whatsoever. again take your pick :) . I have been playing counter-strike 1.6 for 7 years and i have used every mouse and pad that has been mentioned in this thread. So i am just telling you what i have felt from my own experience.Its not an expert opinion coz i am no expert, its just a personal opinion.

I have a deathadder, and I can vouch for it. Its stable, and quite good for FPS.

Also, The aftersales support is great, having had the need to use it myself on one occasion

Go for it
