Best DVD to Divx Software

Hi friends can suggest which is the best software for ripping a DVD to DIVX....
I have tried many but want to zero on to one...
plz rate with ref to speed quality..ease of operation...options and settings offered extra.....
I am presently using Simple Divx....its good and it's free...any suggestions...

Best software for converting from DVD (or any other format for that matter) to DivX is Dr. DivX. It's the easiest to use and only takes 3 steps to start encoding, is fairly quick and offers complete control over all settings.
Best of all it's made by the same people who made DivX.

It's not freeware, but a quick google search will take care of that.

dr. divx is not a good software for ripping dvd's..its good only for encoding movies on your hard drive...it encodes only in divx..not in xvid which is better codec...doesn't offers ttiltes...chapters...angle...subtitle selection..etc...etc...

Use DVD Decrypter for ripping the DVD to your HDD. Then use Dr. DivX for encoding.

DivX is a good enough codec for everyday purposes. No software enabling XviD encoding will be as easy to use as Dr. Divx.

I use DVD shrink. Its easy to you very customizable and has a lot of options. It shrinks it to as much as you want and it stores it onto the hard drive. And then use TMPGEnc to convert it to any format you want.

well dvd shrink is good if you want to shrink the dvd i.e copy 7-8 gb dvd movie ona single disk...Tmpgenc is best for mpeg encoding....any one has tried simple divx..i found it very good....infact it can encode right from dvd..no need to decrypt it to hard disk....dvd decrypter is no doubt best for decrypting....for encoding any views on nandub...flaskmpeg...dvd2avi...virtualdubMod...etc...
