BD drive spindle missing

Hi,

I have a sony laptop FW 390 which came along with Blu Ray Writer.
Recently the CD spindle(the black one in the center which a Disc Snaps on and rotates once inside the CD/DVD/BD Drive) in the tray gone missing.
I am pretty sure that it should have fall inside (when I took the CD it did not came outside) but when I shake the laptop there was no noice
When I showed the laptop in sony service center the executive said we should change the drive completely but that is costly
I want to know whether anyone faced such issue before? Can we replace only that spindle with some glue attached to it or should I go for complete replacement?

go to a local service center (not Sony) & ask if they have spare spindle. if they have, get one. this won't(shouldn't) void warranty.

I have some Blu Ray titles in my collection. if the drive spindle fix is not possible can any one suggest external blu Ray Reader/Writer which is available in India and contact numbers
