BB INTERNET Connection?

I am tired of waiting for BB internet connection of BSNL.
I visited BSNL office many times for getting BB connection but they say only one thing All slots allotted for BB conections r full so u hav wait.
How much?Don't know,may be 15 day,1 month,3 months or may be.......
It's nearly a month now still waiting for BB.

So i decided to switch to another options but didn't find any good alternative.

Is there any alternative to BSNL BB to acess high speed internet?
(Airtel BB is not available here).

One more thing Can DATA cards which r for Laptops used for Desktop PCs.
but i thing they too much costly.

Searching for High speed internet :(:(

What Slugger says is right ! There are lots of threads running there.
One more thing Can DATA cards which r for Laptops used for Desktop PCs.

The Data Cards can be used on the PC too via PCMCIA to PCI adapters like this.

tata indicom that you can use.

However the Speed is just ok. Though i do download full 700mb movie with it in a whole night.

The Data Cards can be used on the PC too via PCMCIA to PCI adapters like this.
Ultimately there are also Other options like USB Cradle or modem from

How much all it costs?

I can able to spend 250 rs/month for high seed internet.

All of it will cost minimum 750 per month and it wouldn't be even a high speed internet.
With the Budget of 250 Rs per month, it will be difficult to get high speed internet.

i am using the tata indicom one
it is good for just browsing but if you are for downloading then forget this.

in bhubaneswar i am getiing download speed varing from 1.5 to 6 kbps (while not moving)

there is a plan which says 150 per months with 5 hrs usage free and after that 50p/min

therefore it is a junk

i chosed 650 per month
