I bought a new alienware 17 yesterday  I am worried that keeping it plugged in while gaming might kill the battery faster (reduce the battery life). The battery is not easily removable and the graphics and cpu are throtttled down when not plugged in. What can I do? Please help guys

Keep the laptop plugged in, battery life won't reduce that much. BTW, when the battery is charged completely, laptops take power from the power plug.

If you keep playing on battery, it will die within 6-12 months.

afaik the only disadvantage of playing on battery is when heat is produced excessively it can degrade the battery

from what i know, batteries charged at 100% degrade FASTER. if you cant play with the battery removed, i think it'd be better to remove charger and play on the battery so that it doesn't stay 100% charged for too long.
